Tyre brand FALKEN, part of Japanese tyre giant Sumitomo Rubber Industries, will continue to be official sponsorship partner for the relegation matches of the German Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga football leagues and for the SUPERCUP 2017. By continuing its partner status, FALKEN has once again chosen to focus on the Bundesliga as an advertising platform in addition to its presence as sports sponsor in Italy, France, Spain and Poland. The company has featured in perimeter advertising in all Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga games since the 2015/16 season, and is also Platinum Partner of the FC Ingolstadt team. The partnership was arranged by Lagardère Sports, the exclusive marketing agency for the relegation matches and the SUPERCUP. In exchange for FALKEN's commitment, the company gains an extensive package of advertising at the critical season finals between the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga (25 and 29 May) and between the 2nd Bundesliga and 3rd League (26 and 30 May), as well as at the first official trophy of the 2017/18 season, the SUPERCUP, where the German champions and DFB-Pokal cup winners face off on 5 August 2017. In addition to high-profile TV advertising featuring the brand on the premium LED board, static TV boards and all interview boards, FALKEN's partnership provides extensive regional market access including ticketing and non-TV advertising space. FALKEN also has exclusive status for the tyre industry and the right to use the title of “Official Partner of SUPERCUP 2017". The relegation matches and SUPERCUP will be broadcast on free TV in Germany. “This year we are once again using our partnership with the relegation matches and SUPERCUP to build on our commitments in the world of football. The partnership provides phenomenal support for FALKEN's media presence in Germany", comments Markus Bögner, COO of Falken Tyre Europe, on the collaboration. Philipp Hasenbein, Managing Director of Lagardère Sports Germany, adds, “The relegation games and SUPERCUP are unquestionably the sporting highlights of the closing and new seasons. As an internationally operating brand, FALKEN's renewed commitment as official partner of the relegation games once again confirms the appeal of this highly emotionally charged environment."
